Oppidan Camps take place on the Woodhall Estate in Hertfordshire, where The Secret Garden was filmed.
Oppidan Camps sit idyllically at the centre of Woodhall’s 3000-acre estate. Within touching distance of London, our venue combines the Georgian House, Walled Garden, surrounding parkland and lake to offer a true outdoor experience for the children on our camp.
The Georgian house is our home for the summer. With a bustling kitchen, hot showers and four activity rooms, the house also provides welcome refuge from unwelcome rain.
The Garden & Parkland
The Walled Garden is enclosed by 20-foot-high walls built during the Napoleonic Era. We use the rolling parkland for activities, treasure hunts and outdoor workshops.
We make use of the park’s historic lake for water-based sports and adventures during our Easter and summer camps, such as raft-building, kayaking and swimming.
